Romans 1:24-32 | "The Results of God's Wrath"

 • Series: Romans

This week, like the last two weeks, we’re considering the wrath of God. From verse 18 to the end of chapter 1, Paul speaks about the reality of God’s wrath, the reason for God’s wrath, and the results of God’s wrath. As we have noted, the wrath of God is not a popular topic. It is avoided in many pulpits. However, our verse by verse study of Romans has not left us an option but to dig in where we might otherwise wish to skip to something less intense. But as I said a couple weeks ago at the conclusion of the message, it will never make any sense to me why a preacher would avoid a sermon on the wrath of God. It would be like a doctor knowing you have a curable cancer if you underwent treatment for it, but he never told you you had the cancer and you died unnecessarily for lack of undergoing treatments. It’s not easy to hear that we are all under the wrath of God, but it’s not an incurable diagnosis. And we will not leave on Sunday without looking at what the Apostle Paul saw as the reversal of God’s wrath.
